UPSC Think ("we", "the app") helps aspirants prepare for the UPSC Civil Services Examination with AI-generated tests, analysis and current affairs. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account details — your email, name and password (stored securely by our login provider; we never see your password). Your mobile number if you choose to add it.
- Your study data — tests you create or attempt, answers, scores, time taken, bookmarks, syllabus progress, daily targets and settings.
- Things you upload — PDFs, images, YouTube links, handwritten answers and community posts.
- Usage of AI credits — how many credits you use and for what feature.
- Basic technical data — browser type and error logs needed to keep the app working. We do not use advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To run the app: generate tests, show reports and rankings, sync your data across devices.
- To send your content to our AI provider to create questions, explanations, evaluations and to check community posts.
- To keep the app safe: prevent abuse, spam and misuse of AI credits.
- To contact you about your account or important changes.
We do not sell your personal data.
What other people can see
- On public tests and leaderboards: your display name and score.
- In the Community: your display name and what you post.
Service providers
We use Supabase (database, login and file storage) and Google Cloud Vertex AI (AI processing), and Vercel (hosting). They process data only to provide these services to us.
On your device
The app saves some data in your browser (local storage) so it works offline and loads fast. You can clear it from your browser settings.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account and data, email tvtalkcontact@gmail.com from your registered email address; we will delete it within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep records.
Security
Data is sent over HTTPS and access to your data is limited to your account by database rules. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password.
Children
The app is meant for users aged 16 and above. If you are under 18, use it with your parent's or guardian's consent.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
